Profile
Standeven and Forrest are a Yorkshire based interior design team offering a complete design service working mainly with residential clients undertaking work in Yorkshire and elsewhere.
Every client and project is different, so there is no ‘set’ style. From initial concepts to reality, we work closely with the client to produce both traditional and contemporary interiors to suit and work for their lifestyle.
From presentation drawings, decorating schemes, consignment of fabrics and furniture, lighting, floor plans and elevations through to the project completion, we produce solutions which work for the client, their property, budget and lifestyles.
After University, Lizzie firstly joined Christie’s International Auction house working in Marketing before studying Interior Design at the KLC School of Design. She then spent the next two years working for architectural interior designers Mary Fox Linton working on a variety of projects both at home and overseas. This was followed by two years at Percy Bass working as an interior designer. Then a move up to Yorkshire prompted the set up of Standeven Interiors, undertaking many commissions ranging from the refurbishment of country houses, to barn conversions and work in London. In 2010, Felicity Forrest and Lizzie Standeven decided to set up the joint company of Standeven and Forrest. |
Felicity has worked in design for over a decade, with qualifications including a degree in Graphic Design (1st Hons) and a Diploma in Interior Design. She began her career with Fitch & Co as a packaging designer, before joining the interior design team at Colefax & Fowler. Here she designed interiors for high end properties in both the UK and overseas. Following a successful period with Colefax she moved on to work for Dunning & Everard in Salisbury, working with Stephanie Dunning (BIDA board director 1999) on a range of projects throughout the UK . At Dunning & Everard Felicity excelled at rural property design, challenging restoration and architectural projects before moving to Yorkshire and joining forces with Lizzie to form Standeven and Forrest. |
